The current price for my Standard Flamenca Blanca guitar with Pegheds tuners is $8000 US$.
The current price for my Standard Flamenca Negra guitar with Pegheds tuners is $8500 US$.
For flamenco guitars with tuners other than Pegheds, add the cost of the tuners.
The current price for my Standard Classical Guitar with high-quality ("frictionless") tuners is $9500 US$
For Cutaway, add $1000 US$
For custom orders, I require a non-refundable deposit of 50%.
Blancas have Mediterranean cypress or Port Orford cedar (a kind of cypress) back and sides. Standard Negras and Classicals have Bolivian rosewood (Pau Ferro, Santos Rosewood) back and sides. Other species of back and sides wood may increase the price. My guitars have either Engelmann Spruce, or Western Red Cedar, soundboards, and African ebony fingerboards. For neck shafts, I use Spanish cedar (cedro). Faceplates, bridges, and bindings are generally Bolivian rosewood. The scale lengths of my flamenco guitars is normally 656 mm and for my classical guitars 650 mm. The nut width is normally 52 mm, with the string spacing between E string centers 43 mm. The string spacing at the bridge is 58 mm between E centers.
The finish I use is French polish of shellac, in various naturally occurring colors. French polish finish is a relatively delicate finish--easily scratched and sensitive to moisture--so please keep fingernails off the finish and wipe it with a soft cloth to remove perspiration after playing. Moreover, a French polish finish will not be completely level like a sprayed finish but will have some swirls and texture. They are evidence that I was there, applying finish by hand over many hours.
These prices reflect the use of the current style of tuners I'm using and the current rosette design I am using. Substitution of a different style of tuner may cost more, based on the difference in cost, and substitution of a different rosette design may cost $200 more.
Payments can be made by cash, check, money order, or bank transfer.
